Dear data travellers, hackers and geeks of all kinds out there

It is for the fifth time in sequence that Chaos Singularity (Cosin) is being held in Switzerland, this year in a smaller Location in Dübendorf, Zürich from July 9 to 11, 2010. 0

The CFP is already appearing at a late date -- a lot of work has still to be done The organizational form Cosin has, is widely open to everyone and is transparent in its operation -- anyone is thus kindly asked to participate also in organizational and operational tasks. It is about to take responsibility on a freely basis. You can indicate your will to help in the Chaoswiki. 1

Cosin is an event which took place in 2006 for the first time. The idea was to create a yearly meeting platform for the emerging CCC movement (and surroundings) in Switzerland, but also to attract people from foreign countries -- in its conception it was thought like the Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin, but on a much smaller, more familiar scale.

We are calling for content in the following type (examples):

• Lectures
• Workshops
• Movie suggestions (to show them)
• Debate/discussion rounds
• Infodesks (non-commercial)

The contributions will be categorized like it is done at the Chaos Communication Congress:

• Community (Group-specific stuff like social activities, organizational stuff)
• Culture (Cultural things around nerd-/geekism and hacker culture, e. g. 23, 42, FSM)
• Making (Soldering works, hands-on-workshops in general)
• Hacking (IT security, creative solutions with soft-/hardware)
• Science (Maths, physics, fundamental sciences, etc.)
• Society (Societal subjects, e. g. privacy issues or surveillance)

You can contribute via Pentabarf2 or writing to cosin2010{AT}chaostreff.ch. Please make at least the following points:

• Author
• Title of the contribution
• Type/form of the contribution
• Length of the contribution
• Preferred day at which you want your contribution to happen

Deadline for contributions is the end of June 2010. We will shortly afterwards publish the final version of the schedule. Last year's schedule is still on the net. 3

Any question regarding the organization of Cosin can be directed to cosin2010{AT}chaostreff.ch or also to the Swiss-Chaos mailinglist4, which is open to the public. You can chat with us instanstly using IRC5.

Please help to make the fifth Cosin event the biggest and best organized Cosin ever -- please also help to distribute this CFP widely!
